Step 3: During the Event

Today is the event day, and ensuring a smooth check-in process for your guests is crucial.

✅ Guest Check-in

Superteam requires you check-in every attendee to facilitate the reimbursement of your event costs. Fortunately, the process is straightforward.

Please follow these steps on your River event page:
  • Navigate to the side panel.
  • Look for the check-in section as shown in the image below:

For check-in, you have two convenient options:
  • Display the QR code on a mobile or handheld device for attendees to scan.
  • Print a welcome sign with the QR code, allowing guests to check in themselves.

🖼️ POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol)

⚠️
Requirement: Every Superteam event must offer a POAP to attendees as a digital proof of their attendance.

Technical Support: Our friends at TipLink assist with the POAP's technical setup. Event organisers should contact Chris for a TipLink specific to their event.

📎
Pro Tip: Integrating the TipLink POAP address with the River check-in QR code simplifies the process, allowing attendees to check in and claim their POAP with a single scan.

🥤 Refreshments

  • Variety: It's recommended to provide a range of refreshments catering to different dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
  • Alcohol Policy: Alcohol is permitted at the event, but moderation is advised.

🤔 What is Superteam?

For events that include guests unfamiliar with Superteam, a deck is available to explain the community's objectives, activities, and ways to get involved. This ensures all attendees have a basic understanding of Superteam.

📸 Photos

"If a Superteam event happens and there are no photos of it on social media, did it really happen?"
Photographs play a crucial role in bringing our Superteam events to life on social media.
  • Designated Photographer: We encourage you to appoint a dedicated photographer for your event. This person should be tasked with capturing the essence and key moments of your event, and sharing them with the host or Chris afterwards.
  • Budget Allocation: To support this, you can allocate 10% of your event budget to the photographer, with a cap of $50. It's our way of saying 'thanks' for capturing all those memorable moments.

Guide to Capturing Great Event Moments

Aim to encapsulate the essence of the Superteam event experience through your lens. Here's how you can achieve this:
  • Focus on Joy and Interaction: Seek out moments where people are genuinely engaging with one another. Smiles, laughter, and lively discussions are gold.
  • Tell the Event's Story: Whether it's a workshop, a talk, or a hands-on session, capture the essence. Photos and videos should reflect the learning and engagement happening. For workshops, include shots of the speaker, the audience's reactions, and any hands-on activities.
  • Highlight Unique Engagements: When we have special activations, such as introducing attendees to Solana Pay or distributing POAPs, it's great to document these moments. These interactions are at the heart of showcasing the interactive spirit of Superteam events and the practical utility of Solana. Capture the curiosity, engagement, and excitement as community members explore these features.
  • Maintain a Professional Tone: While we love to see everyone having a good time, aim to keep the imagery professional. Steer clear of content that overly focuses on party elements or alcohol.
Additional Tips for Compelling Event Photography:
  • Natural Light is Your Friend: Whenever possible, use natural light. It brings out the best in your subjects and avoids the harshness of artificial lighting.
  • Angles Matter: Experiment with different angles and perspectives to add variety and dynamism to your shots.
  • Candid Over Posed: Candid shots often capture the most authentic and engaging moments. Keep an eye out for unguarded, spontaneous interactions.
  • Context is Key: Include some wide shots that capture the scale of the event and the setting. This helps convey the overall atmosphere.
  • Quality Over Quantity: It's better to have a smaller selection of high-quality, impactful images than a large volume of mediocre ones.
